[Visual] The Dangers of Avoiding Your Problems | Friday at Six
Good morning and happy Friday!
The last Friday before Christmas 🎄 have you had to change around any holiday traditions this year?
The Dangers of Avoiding Your Problems
I plan to break down a visual that I’ve designed each week to create clarity around certain topics or viewpoints. This week’s visual displays the difference between avoiding and addressing your problems.
Sometimes it’s easier to brush off a problem and pretend it’s not there. I’m definitely guilty of this.
However as I’m sure you’ve experienced, letting problems start to compound on top of each other tends to create bigger problems than originally imagined.
When you address problems or situations, you create clarity in your life because you’ve tackled one issue and can approach the next one with confidence and a clear mind to make the best decisions possible.
Party Like It’s 2017
There’s been a lot of things that have changed since 2017, but Bitcoin being headline news is apparently not one of them.
With many people concerned about inflation and the economy in general, Bitcoin is becoming more attractive to some investors.
In fact, Bitcoin is up ~220% this year.
Now I’m not saying that you should sell all your stocks and invest in everything in Bitcoin (or any other cryptocurrency for that matter), but it’s good to be aware of what it is and how it can play a role in society.

Will the 2020s be the decade of digital currency?
Second Stimmy Check
Has the time finally arrived?
While no amount has been set yet for the stimulus checks, reports are leaning towards a $600 check rather than the previous $1,200.
Nancy Pelosi and Mitch McConnell, the top lawmakers of their respective parties, both sounded optimistic that a stimulus bill will make its way through Congress by Friday (today), per the Daily News.
Here’s an interesting graphic that shows how people planned to spend their stimulus money (Fortune.com):
Do you think we should have received more stimulus money throughout 2020?
This Week at Piertree
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to chat with a good friend and financial advisor, Thomas Kopelman, to record the first episode of the Planet Piertree Podcast.
This podcast is designed to be a place where you can hear how successful young professionals got to where they are, overcoming challenges along the way, their relationships with money, and more.
You can listen to the first episode on Spotify here or watch it on YouTube here.
